Kate Seligmanof Counsel

Kate graduated from The College of New Jersey with a B.A. in political science and history Magna Cum Laude. Thereafter, Kate obtained her law degree from Rutgers University Law School — Camden, graduating with High Honors. While in law school, Kate served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Law Journal, which is now the Rutgers Law Review. Upon earning her law degree, Kate had the privilege of clerking with the Honorable Mary L. Cooper, with the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey (Trenton Vicinage).

Kate has two decades of construction law experience having represented a wide range of clients in construction litigation. For nearly ten years, Kate represented contractors and other construction professionals in various types of litigation while in private practice with a regional Philadelphia law firm. In addition, Kate has experience representing homeowners in litigating and arbitrating hundreds of construction defect cases. Kate has brought her unique experiences and perspectives to Thompson Becker where she focuses her practice on the representation of architects, engineers, land surveyors, planners, and other design professionals. Kate is adept at litigating in federal and state courts and arbitrating in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey cases.

In her free time, Kate enjoys spending time with her family, watching her three daughters perform in local theater and excel in softball, gardening and traveling.
